Compressed Air Systems Best Practices
Compressed air is often called the “fourth utility”, after electricity, gas and water. Although “it’s only air”, compressed air costs the most because only about 20% of the electric energy input reaches the point of end-use. Nationally, compressed air accounts for about 10% of all manufacturing energy consumption. An industrial facility can save up to 60% of its compressed air energy by applying best practices. In this interactive workshop participants will work in teams to explore compressed air best practices.
This interactive one day workshop, designed for industrial facilities, will cover the economic and operational benefits that are a direct result of the implementation of compressed air system best practices. In this session you will learn how to identify opportunities in your facility and develop an implementation strategy.
The course is $150 and includes training materials, continental breakfast and lunch. Through the generous support of our utility partners, we can offer this $300 program for just $150. You can be fully reimbursed for the cost of this course if you implement an energy efficiency project with Focus on Energy within six months and receive approved custom or prescriptive incentives.
