Special Promotions

A Boost to Incentives - Limited Time Only

Focus on Energy is boosting several prescriptive incentives for a limited time. Special Promotions are available from October 2011 through March 2012, so act quickly!

Incentives are updated frequently, be sure to check back.

Heating System Tune-up

A well-tuned heating system can dramatically improve the comfort of you facility, save on heating costs, and reduce the potential for equipment failure during the heating season. Focus on Energy is providing an added incentive just in time for winter to ensure facilities tune-up their equipment for energy savings now and into the future.

Three Year Compressed Air System Leak Survey and Repair Incentive

Leaks in an industrial compressed-air system can waste as much as 20 to 30 percent of compressor output. The costs add up quickly: reduced efficiency of air tools and other equipment; required excess compressor capacity; increased energy costs; reduced equipment service life and increased maintenance due to unnecessary cycling and increased run time. Focus on Energy is providing incentives for compressed air leak surveys and repair of leaks.

Condensing Unit Heaters

Consider upgrading to more efficient heating with a more efficient condensing unit heater. These heaters are optimal for warehouses, industrial facilities, greenhouses, maintenance garages or shop building. With winter coming, the more efficient heaters you add or replace, the higher the Focus on Energy incentive.

LED Lighting

The world of light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, also known as Solid State Lighting, or SSL, is rapidly expanding. The technology has great potential to save significant amounts of energy and money for Wisconsin businesses. Take advantage of Focus on Energy special promotions for both interior and exterior LEDs.
LED Lighting Incentive Application For Businesses

LED Reach-In Refrigerated Case Lighting

Light emitting diodes (LEDs) use less electricity and produce less heat than fluorescent lamps, but produce the same amount of light. This provides two-fold energy savings in cooler and freezer cases. Focus on Energy is offering a prescriptive incentive to encourage replacement of T8 or T12 fluorescent lamps with LED lamps in existing cooler and freezer cases.

Steam Trap Survey and Repair

When steam traps fail, live steam is wasted meaning energy and money are lost.  Focus on Energy is offering incentives for leak surveys on steam systems, and for repairs for leaks in steam piping, condensate return lines, and pipe fittings.

Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

Incorporating energy-efficient VFDs into manufacturing and processing helps reduce energy costs and drive bottom line savings. In addition to saving energy, VFDs extend the life of electric motors by reducing operating hours, increasing reliability and productivity. For a limited time, Focus on Energy is increasing the per horsepower (hp) incentive for VFDs.

High Bay Lights

Lighting can be one of the most cost-effective ways for Wisconsin businesses to save energy and money. High bay fluorescent lighting fixtures are a good example. High bay lights provide the same amount of light while using only a fraction of the energy. Focus on Energy is boosting the incentive for the replacement of 400-999 watt high intensity discharge (HID) lights with fluorescent fixtures using 250 watts or less.

T8 Replacement

Sometimes a simple bulb replacement is all that is needed to save energy. For a limited time only, Focus on Energy is increasing the incentive for reduced wattage re-lamping (25 watt or 28 watt) projects to encourage facilities to take the next step toward energy efficiency.
