Third Annual Manure Bio-Conversion Technology Conference
Held in Stevens Point in January, this event offered an in-depth look at manure digestion technologies on Wisconsin farms. The show drew 167 attendees, of which 40 percent were farm operators.
2008 Small Wind Conference
In June, Focus on Energy sponsored the premiere national small wind event in the country in Stevens Point just before the annual Energy Fair. Twenty-nine wind experts from around the world presented at this conference, which was attended by 16 of the 18 small wind manufacturers and 210 attendees - up 50 percent over 2007. This is the type of quality event that positions Wisconsin as a place to do business in the small wind technology arena as the market advances and grows. Join Focus at the

Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) 2008 Energy Fair
Held in June, the 2008 fair drew a whopping 22,500 attendees over three days, with 150 exhibitors and 170 workshops offering renewable energy information, education and fun for the whole family.
Focus on Energy's tent drew an average of 1,400 attendees each day. Plus, two tents hosted by Focus on Energy's KEEP (K-12 Energy Education Program) drew nearly 2,000 educators - more than double 2007's attendance - with valuable classroom resources and informative workshops.

2008 Wisconsin Renewable Energy Summit
Held in Milwaukee in March, this summit, titled "Green Jobs - Growing Wisconsin's Economy," focused on the role that renewable energy, such as wind power, solar energy, geothermal, green buildings and bio-energy technologies will play in supporting the state's economy. The event attracted more than 1,200 attendees, 60 exhibitors and 3 nationally known speakers.

Working Smarter with Wood Energy
This conference, held in Green Bay in September alongside the Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association's Lakes States Logging Congress, offered an intimate setting for businesses and consumers to learn more about the benefits and opportunities offered by renewable wood energy. World Dairy Expo
This five-day event held in October showcased the finest in dairy genetics and the newest technologies available to the dairy industry. Sustainable Energy for Green Communities Webinar
This October Webinar offered an overview of how to create a community energy plan to address carbon emissions and environmental quality, and explained how such a plan integrates with other sustainable community goals. The session presented community energy resources available from:

MREA 2008 Solar Tour of Businesses and Homes
Each year, the Wisconsin Solar Tour gives residents a chance to see renewable energy systems in action in real businesses and homes. This past year on October 3-4, over 200 home and business owners opened their doors to more than 4,000 attendees - a new Wisconsin Solar Tour record! Join us at the

National BioCycle Conference
The 8th annual conference, held October 6-8 in Middleton, presented the latest research on using organic waste to create energy. Focus sponsored the event, hosted a booth and presented six sessions to educate and engage the show's 400 attendees. Join us for the

Fourth Annual Solar Decade Conference
Held October 23 in Milwaukee in partnership with We Energies and the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance Council, the Solar Decade Conference drew more than 300 attendees interested in the latest solar-energy opportunities for their businesses, careers and homes.
