1. First, you need to determine if you are eligible for Focus on Energy financial incentives. To do so, you must be served by a participating utility in Wisconsin. To check your eligibility, please see the list of participating utilities.
   
   
2. Focus on Energy recommends that you conduct a site assessment to help determine if a renewable energy system is suitable for your location. Note: Site assessments are required to qualify for wind electric installation.

Energy efficiency is the first step all homeowners should take when addressing the electric and/or natural gas consumption of their home. The smaller your energy needs, the lower your monthly energy bills–and the less you’ll need to spend on a renewable energy system that’s capable of meeting your needs. And now, homeowners who invest in energy-efficiency upgrades prior to installing a solar electric system may be eligible to receive enhanced financial incentives ranging from 17 to 25 percent higher than the standard Focus incentives.
