Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA)
The mission of IESNA is to seek to improve the lighted environment by bringing together those
with lighting knowledge and by translating that knowledge into actions that benefit the public.
The IESNA is recognized as the technical authority on illumination, publishes a variety of
technical publications, and works with other organizations to jointly publish guidelines and
standards.

United States Green Building Council (USGBC)
The mission of the USGBC is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built
and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous
environment that improves the quality of life. USGBC is a non-profit organization, and is the
developer of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building rating system, a
voluntary, consensus-based building rating system.

The mission of WasteCap Wisconsin is to provide waste reduction and recycling assistance through
business-to-business peer exchange, demonstration, and education for the benefit of businesses

Wisconsin Green Building Alliance (WGBA)
The mission of WGBA is to facilitate and promote the development and use of ecologically sustainable
practices within the built environment in Wisconsin. Its goals include encouragement of global
environmental health through the sustainable use of energy, land, water, air, soil, plant, material
and cultural resources. WGBA also strives to educate individuals, improve economic performance of
the built environment, and foster an integrated cross-disciplinary approach to solving environmental
