Energy Education at School

Empowering Education.

In the years ahead, students will face critical decisions concerning economic, environmental, and sociopolitical issues that affect their lives. Energy, the agent of change for all processes on Earth, affects all these issues. Through energy education, teachers can empower students and help them make wise decisions concerning these issues. Yet for all its varying forms and uses, energy can be a challenging topic to teach.

Through hands-on, minds-on activities, KEEP makes the topic of energy understandable and engaging for students of all ages. Teachers and their students also gain an understanding of the importance of saving energy at home and at school and increase their appreciation of renewable energy.

KEEP not only benefits students but teachers as well. There are Professional Development and Networking opportunities, Student Involvement activities, and Resources available for educators to use in their classrooms.

Sponsored by Focus on Energy and the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education, the goal of KEEP is to improve and increase energy education in Wisconsin.
