This site contains reports on the results of a study that examined the energy characteristics and attitudes of single-family, owner-occupied homes in Wisconsin. The results cover energy use and cost, energy-saving opportunities, homeowner attitudes and behaviors, comfort, safety, and home energy ratings. Energy Information Administration
The U.S. Department of Energy, Energy Information Administration, collects energy-related data on primary, occupied housing units in the U.S. Results of this survey are available online in the Residential Energy Consumption Survey.
U.S. Census Bureau
The Census Bureau conducts the American Housing Survey (AHS) for the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The survey collects data on the Nation's housing, including apartments, single-family homes, mobile homes, and vacant housing units. The survey covers household characteristics such as income, housing and neighborhood quality, housing costs, equipment and fuels, and the size of the housing unit.
