It can often make dollars and sense to replace an older appliance before the end of its useful life. Prior to 1990 many name brand refrigerators used vastly more electricity than current models. Click on the link below to find out if it you should replace your current refrigerator with a new ENERGY STAR® qualified model.

Is it time to replace your refrigerator?

Many local Wisconsin libraries also have Watt Meters available to their patrons.

A Watt Meter is a tool that measures the electric consumption of plug-in appliances. Simply plug the watt meter into a socket and then plug an appliance or lighting fixture into the watt meter. It is an easy way to determine how much electricity-and money-it requires to operate various appliances.
