The Living Green Expo will showcase local "green" buildings and "green" transportation vendors, as well as "green" initiatives from non-profit organizations, government agencies, and schools. Food will be catered by Western Catering, featuring locally grown/produced foods from Fifth Season Cooperative. Activities will include a farmer's market, over 40 exhibitors, discussion areas, children's activities, including a "live worms" interactive display, a trail building demonstration. Featured green workshops include: topics on energy savings, compressed natural gas vehicles, Whole Trees Architecture, and raising backyard chickens. There will also be a bike valet, and free bike inspections by Bikes Limited.

The first 500 families will receive a reusable bag from Kwik Trip. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day, as well as a grand green prize drawing at the end for a free one-month use of a Honda Civic GX (including fuel), one year of free milk from Organic Valley, and a child's bicycle from Bikes Limited. Attendees who walk, bike, bus, or bring in a non-perishable item for WAFER will get a second entry into the grand green prize drawing. In conjunction with the event, Dynamic Recycling will hold an electronic waste collection in the county parking lot on the corner of 6th and Vine Streets. They will accept old cell phones, stereos, DVD players, computers, and other small electronics for free. Televisions will also be collected for a $10 for businesses (homeowners are free). No appliances, thermostats, or smoke detectors will be accepted. Those who bring items will receive a coupon for $1 off Western Catering meal or farmers market purchase.
