Site assessments provide objective, third-party recommendations for customers considering solar electric, solar water heating and wind electric systems. Focus on Energy requires a site assessment to qualify for a wind electric system incentives and recommends them for solar technologies.

Costs for site assessments vary depending on the type and complexity of the renewable energy system. Focus on Energy will provide eligible customers with a discount on the cost of a qualified site assessment and those discounts are as follows:

• Using the provided information sheets below, preliminarily determine if renewable energy might fit your energy needs, site and budget. This will help you determine if a site assessment or installation is the next best step.

• After reading through the relevant information sheet, are you ready for a site assessment? If so, contact a qualified site assessor to schedule and perform your assessment: The Midwest Renewable Energy Association's (MREA) certified site assessor directory.
  
• Following the completion of your site assessment, fill out and submit the appropriate reimbursement application below, along with a copy of your paid invoice. For wind assessments Focus also requires a copy of the full site assessment report. Non-residential wind site assessment paperwork will be kept on file for reimbursement following turbine installation.

• You can expect a Focus on Energy incentive check within 6-8 weeks of application receipt and approval. Non-residential wind site assessments will be reimbursed with your Focus non-residential wind turbine installation incentive.
