Focus on Energy offers cash-back rewards for qualifying high-efficiency furnaces and boilers that meet the eligibility requirements described below:

NATURAL GAS SPACE HEATING BOILER (90% AFUE)
Reward Amount: $300 (< 300MBH)

This Cash-Back Reward is only available for models on the Pre-Qualified Equipment List. A qualifying natural gas boiler must have the following attributes:

Efficiency rating of at least 90% AFUE.
Modulating burner
Outdoor-air reset control (integrated or added to system)
Sealed combustion unit
Only natural gas boilers are eligible
Boiler must be the primary heating source for the home’s living space

Chimney liners must be installed when a high-efficiency gas boiler replaces an atmospherically-drafted boiler and only a water heater remains vented through the chimney. The interior opening left by the removed boiler must be closed with a metal cap and sealed with caulk or mortar.

If you are attaching a water heater to your new boiler, you may be eligible for an additional indirect water heater reward .

This Cash-Back Reward is only available for models on the Pre-Qualified Equipment List. A qualifying natural gas boiler must have the following attributes:

Have an efficiency rating of at least 95% AFUE.
Have a modulating burner
Must include an outdoor-air reset control (integrated or added to system)
Must be a sealed combustion unit
Only natural gas boilers are eligible
Boiler must be the primary heating source for the home’s living space

Chimney liners must be installed where a high-efficiency gas boiler replaces an atmospherically-drafted boiler and only a water heater remains vented through the chimney. The interior opening left by the removed boiler must be closed with a metal cap and sealed with caulk or mortar.

90% AFUE FURNACE WITH ECM (natural gas, propane or oil-fired)
Reward Amount: $125

Two or multi-speed PSC (Permanent Split Capacitor) motors are not eligible.

Efficiency rating of at least 90% AFUE
Multi-stage burner and variable speed motor (which may also be called electronically commutated motor (ECM) and efficient brushless DC motor)
Sealed-combustion unit
Be the primary heating source for the home
Natural gas, propane and oil-fired furnaces are eligible
Contractor must included the discharge air configuration ("Upflow," "Downflow," or "Horizontal". Be sure to ask for this from the installation contractor.

If the model you plan to sell to a customer, or if you are the customer and the model you wish to purchase and have installed by a professional contractor is not on one of the pre-qualified lists, but meets the eligibility criteria, please pre-qualify the equipment by completing the Equipment Qualification Form and email it to residentialrewards@focusonenergy.com. Please include as much support documentation (technical specification sheets, manufacturer information sheets, etc.) as possible to ensure the equipment's qualification.
