Focus on Energy offers Cash-Back Rewards to Wisconsin customers of participating utilities. Below is a complete listing of rewards that are available through Focus on Energy for
residential customers. Note that specific eligibility depends on the home's natural gas and/or electric utility provider. To determine whether you are eligible, use our

The State Energy-Efficient Appliance Rebate Program (SEEARP) offers rewards for replacing existing appliances and equipment in Wisconsin residences. Equipment must be purchased on or after January 1, 2010 and rewards are available on a first-come, first-serve basis while funds last.
Rewards are limited to residential customers; businesses (including landlords) are not eligible. Qualified appliances installed in Wisconsin, regardless of the customer's utility, are eligible for the SEEARP reward. SEEARP rewards are in addition to existing Focus Cash-Back Rewards offered on high-efficiency water heaters and HVAC equipment, so eligible customers can receive both the SEEARP reward and the Focus reward if equipment meets both programs' requirements.
Use the Focus on Energy Residential Water Heater Cash-Back Reward application when applying for the Focus on Energy and/or SEEARP Incentives. Below is a complete listing of heating and cooling rewards available for
residential customers.
NOTE: With the exception of electric water heaters and indirect water heaters, a Focus on Energy Cash-Back Reward is only available for
pre-qualified equipment. See the pre-qualified equipment lists below.

GAS WATER HEATER
Focus on Energy Natural Gas, EF .64 - .79
Reward Amount: $50
This Cash-Back Reward is only available for models on the
Pre-Qualified Equipment List.
A qualifying natural gas water heater must have the following attributes:
- Energy Factor (EF) of 0.64 to 0.79.
- Power-vented.
- Whole-house units used for domestic water heating.
- Purchase natural gas from a participating natural gas utility.
Focus on Energy Natural Gas, EF .80 or greater
Reward Amount: $100
This Cash-Back Reward is only available for models on the
Pre-Qualified Equipment List.
A qualifying natural gas water heater must have the following attributes
- Energy Factor (EF) of 0.80 or greater.
- Power-vented.
- Whole-house units used for domestic water heating.
- Purchase natural gas from a participating natural gas utility.
SEEARP - Tank-Type Natural Gas, LP (Propane), or Oil, EF .64 or greater
Reward Amount: $150
A qualifying water heater must have the following attributes:
- ENERGY STAR qualified.
- Tank-type unit.
- Energy Factor (EF) of 0.64 or greater.
- Power-vented.
- Whole-house unit used for domestic hot-water.
- Must replace an existing water heater.
- Must be purchased by occupant. A landlord cannot purchase for rental units.
SEEARP - Tankless Natural Gas, LP (Propane), or Oil, EF .82 or greater
Reward Amount: $150
A qualifying water heater must have the following attributes:
- ENERGY STAR qualified.
- Tankless unit.
- Energy Factor (EF) of 0.82 or greater.
- Power-vented.
- Whole-house unit used for domestic hot-water.
- Must replace an existing water heater.
- Must be purchased by occupant. A landlord cannot purchase for rental units.
CONDENSING WATER HEATER

Reward Amount: $150
This Cash-Back Reward is only available for models on the
Pre-Qualified Equipment List.
A qualifying natural gas water heater must have the following attributes
- Condensing unit with a Thermal Efficiency of 90% or greater.
- Power-vented.
- Whole-house units used for domestic water heating.
- Purchase natural gas from a participating natural gas utility.
INDIRECT WATER HEATER

Reward Amount: $200
A qualifying indirect water heater must have the following attributes:
- Be installed at the same time as a Focus on Energy qualified boiler.
- Whole-house unit used for domestic hot-water.
- Whole-house units used for domestic water heating.
- Purchase natural gas from a participating natural gas utility.
SEEARP - Natural Gas, LP (Propane), or Oil
Reward Amount: $150
A qualifying water heater must have the following attributes:
- Be installed at the same time as a SEEARP-qualified boiler.
- Whole-house unit used for domestic hot-water.
- Must replace an existing water heater.
- Must be purchased by occupant. A landlord cannot purchase for rental units.
ELECTRIC WATER HEATER

Reward Amount: $50
A qualifying water heater must have the following attributes:
- Energy Factor (EF) of 0.93 or greater.
- Natural gas cannot be available in area.
- Whole-house unit used for domestic hot-water.
- Tankless units are not eligible.
SEEARP
Reward Amount: $50
A qualifying water heater must have the following attributes:
- ENERGY STAR qualified.
- Energy Factor (EF) of 2.0 or greater.
- Whole-house unit used for domestic hot-water.
- Must replace an existing water heater.
- Must be purchased by occupant. A landlord cannot purchase for rental units.
FLUE CLOSURE
Focus on Energy
Reward Amount: $75
If the chimney is no longer used by a combustion appliance (i.e. a gas furnace or boiler) cap and caulk the interior opening for additional savings. Available only if installing program eligible equipment, if the water heater does not qualify for the Focus on Energy reward, then the flue closure does not qualify. WATER HEATER FUEL CONVERSION

Reward Amount: $250
This reward is available to customers who convert from an electric water heater to a natural gas, LP or oil water heater. Documentation of fuel conversion is required. Available only if installing equipment that meets power-vented and efficiency (Energy Factor or Thermal Efficiency) requirements, if the water heater does not qualify, then the fuel conversion does not qualify.
