Now it's easy to find out how your building and equipment are using, and possibly misusing, energy. There's no charge for borrowing - all you pay is return shipping!

Tools may be borrowed for a maximum of 28 days at a time. Each tool comes with its own packaging and instruction manuals to help you use it effectively. If the tool you want is already on loan, Focus will put your name on a waiting list and notify you when it becomes available.

Many tools available
Focus offers an array of tools for loan. The following is just a sampling - view our complete list here.

• Dataloggers. Measure and record a variety of data, including plug loads and multi-phase electrical values (voltage, amperage, kilowatts, kilowatt-hours, power factor), temperature, relative humidity, light levels, motor on/off cycles, and run hours.
• Multimeters. Receive instantaneous measurements of voltage (AC and DC), current, resistance and temperature.
• Power meters. Measure the electric use of motors and small-, medium-, and large-sized commercial/industrial equipment. Obtain kilowatt-vs.-time electric load profiles.
• Ultrasonic leak detectors. Convert ultrasonic noise to audible sound to help locate leaks in compressed-air and steam systems, and determine their intensity.
• Ultrasonic flow meters. Measure the fluid velocity and flow rate of liquids through pipes ranging from 1 to 120 inches.
• Combustion analyzers. Measure the performance (combustion efficiency, pressure, temperature, output of gases such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and oxygen) of boilers, furnaces, water heaters, and other combustion systems.
• Infrared thermometers. Convert infrared (heat) to a gray-scale visual display to detect equipment "hot spots" such as poor electrical connections or inadequately insulated areas, and uncover developing failures in equipment.
