Organizational Structure
Focus on Energy works with eligible Wisconsin residents and businesses to install cost effective energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Focus information, resources and financial incentives help to implement projects that otherwise would not be completed, or to complete projects sooner than scheduled. Its efforts help Wisconsin residents and businesses manage rising energy costs, promote in-state economic development, protect our environment and control the state's growing demand for electricity and natural gas.The primary organizations that make up the Focus on Energy program include:
- Public Service Commission of Wisconsin: Independent state agency that regulates Wisconsin's public utilities and oversees Focus on Energy.
- Statewide Energy Efficiency and Renewable Administration (SEERA): Formed by the energy utilities to fulfill their obligations under Act 141, this organization creates, funds and contracts for the administration of statewide energy efficiency and renewable energy programs.
- Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation: Administrator of the program’s residential, business and renewable energy services.
- Energy Center of Wisconsin: Promotes economic and environmental sustainability through environmental research, education and training programs.
- PA Consulting Group: Independent evaluation.
- Wipfli LLP: Fiscal agent.
- Baker Tilly Virchow Krause: Compliance agent.
