Steam Systems Assessment

Improve the efficiency of your steam system—and stretch your energy budget

More efficient equipment operation can cut your energy use—and energy costs—and extend the life of your systems. Join Focus on Energy at this comprehensive, one-day session, brought to you in collaboration with Focus and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, and get the tools and information you need to run your steam system more efficiently. This course will help you pinpoint and address the specific challenges of your facility's equipment.

The Steam Systems Assessment workshop will help you:

  • Optimize your boiler’s steam-generation efficiency
  • Determine the most effective ways to use energy resources—discuss the basics of combined heat and power systems, the potential benefits of steam system balancing, plus fuel selection and steam system end users
  • Identify sources of steam loss throughout the distribution system
  • Learn how to use various evaluation tools including the Steam System Assessment Tool (SSAT) and 3E-Plus insulation appraisal software
Major text for the session:
The Steam System Survey Guide, a technical reference document developed by BestPractices Steam.

Tools used in the workshop:
Steam System Assessment Tool (SSAT) and 3E-Plus insulation appraisal software, plus industry-standard steam opportunity assessment tools developed by BestPractices Steam.

Just $79 to register! The course fee includes all training materials, plus continental breakfast and lunch.
