Looking for ways to save money on your business lighting expenses? The world of light-emitting diode (LED) lighting (also known as Solid State Lighting or SSL)is rapidly expanding. The technology has great potential to save significant amounts of energy and money for Wisconsin businesses and consumers. But finding the right product and the right application is key.
Focus on Energy is committed to finding energy efficient lighting solutions that are right for you. That's why we're putting LED lights to the test. We only offer financial incentives for the most reliable energy savers on the market, including:
- LED recessed downlights-see the Energy Star SSL Commercial Qualified Products List (please note: not all products that appear on this list will qualify for a Focus incentive. Only luminaires that are 18 watts or less and listed for commercial use will qualify for a prescriptive incentive.)
- LED dock lighting
- Custom incentives for qualified LED products-As of January 1, 2011 Focus on Energy reinstated custom incentives on a limited group of qualified LED products. Eligibility is limited to products that appear on one of the following qualified product lists (QPLs):
- ENERGY STAR qualified LED light bulbs
- ENERGY STAR qualified commercial LED lighting (including downlights that do not fit prescriptive requirements)
- Design lights Consortium Solid State Lighting QPL
- Department of Energy 2011 Lighting For Tomorrow
- Department of Energy 2010 Next Generation Luminaires winners
All custom incentives are subject to the terms and conditions of custom incentive offers, and must be pre-approved and a custom grant must be issued by Focus on Energy prior to the customer moving forward with a purchase order or other work order for the project.
