Targeted Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® This program assists qualifying Wisconsin residents in making energy efficiency improvements to their homes. The improvements are completed by program consultants at minimal costs to the homeowner and will make your home more comfortable, safe and energy efficient. Who is eligible? Wisconsin residents who receive both their natural gas and electricity from participating utilities (you may receive both from one utility), and who meet the income requirements, are eligible to participate. In addition, if you are a landlord with qualifying tenants, partial financial grants may be available for your rental property. Additional energy efficiency programs exist for Wisconsin residents whose income exceeds or falls below the income ranges shown above. Visit the Residential Incentives page to learn about other opportunities to save energy and money in your home. What improvements may be made? Qualifying homeowners will receive a no cost home energy evaluation. As part of the evaluation, the program consultant will review the home as an entire system and show you how it is using, and possibly misusing, energy. The consultant will also conduct a safety test to verify that combustion appliances, such as the furnace and hot water heater, are not exhausting carbon monoxide into your home. Depending on the results of the home energy evaluation, your home may receive one or more of the following energy efficiency improvements:

When mailing in your application, please also include the following documentation: Proof of entire household's gross income for the last three full months. Provide documentation on the following types of income:
*Required to provide twelve months of income information. In many cases, a copy of your most recent Federal Income Tax Return 1040 will supply this proof. Proof of Ownership. Acceptable forms of ownership documentation include your most recent property tax statement, warranty deed, or title for mobile home. |
