The State Energy-Efficient Appliance Rebate Program (SEEARP) has CLOSED!

Status Update – May 3, 2010

The State Energy-Efficient Appliance Rebate Program (SEEARP) has closed and funding nearly exhausted! Applications received through May 3, 2010 will continue to be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. However, based on the number of applications received to date it is likely that funding will be depleted prior to all applications being processed.

Applications sent after Monday, May 3, 2010 should expect that funds will have been exhausted prior to their application being received by the program.

Applications received after Thursday, May 6, will be returned as undeliverable.

Where did the money for the State Energy-Efficient Appliance Rebate Program come from?
The U.S. Department of Energy allocated $300 million available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for state-run rebate programs for consumer purchases of new ENERGY STAR qualified home appliances.

The plan for Wisconsin's program was approved in December 2009 and $5.4 million in funding was allocated to the Wisconsin Department of Administration, Office of Energy Independence to run the program.

Focus on Energy administered the program for the Wisconsin Department of Administration.
